Being Sick

Hi all,

I've spent the last month with the Bubonic cold wearing down my immune system, only to spend the last weekend with my now-weakened immune system trying valiantly to fight off whatever strand of seasonal illness is running rampant up in these here parts.  You want to know how sick I felt?  I slept in until 10:30 on Saturday and 9:30 on Sunday!  (Yes, I skipped church because I was sick.  Shocker.)

And after being sick for so long (and I think I'm finally getting better), I realized the dishes have been piling up (although Caleb bravely tackled them twice - thanks honey!) and I've either been not cooking or at least not cooking real meals.  And that's ending now.

The irony/best-part of meal planning this week is that I really only needed to plan Monday-Wednesday.  Thursday is Thanksgiving at his family's and Friday is at mine - and then we'll have a million leftovers pushed on us by loving parents, and we'll accept because it's delicious and then I won't have to cook the rest of the week.

I'll keep it short today, because I have a lot to do, but I hope you had a fabulous weekend!

Love and Lunch,
Leah Joy

P.S. What are your Thanksgiving weekend plans?

  1. Well, we are having Thanksgiving here with 10 people, so I plan to use my weekend to relax and recuperate! While I do enjoy all of the prep work, it is pretty tiring.

Actually, I may relax by playing with my sewing machine. I've been having some fun revamping old T-shirts, and I have a pile of them staring at me from the corner of the room.
    Love,
